About Us:

Grace Lutheran is a community of faith made up of people of all ages and backgrounds, families of all shapes and sizes. We gather to worship God and to participate through service in what God is doing in our neighborhood and in the world.

Grace Lutheran is a congregation of the ELCA – Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and part of the South Dakota Synod of the ELCA.

We are Christians – we believe that Jesus is Lord.

We are Biblical – we believe that the Bible is the revealed Word of God and the norm for our faith and life. Martin Luther called the Bible “the cradle that holds Christ.”

We are Confessional – we confess our belief in God in our worship life and daily life. We hold that the Creeds are true declarations of faith which summarize the teaching of scripture. We hold that the unaltered Augsburg Confession and other Lutheran writings are declarations of faith and true witnesses of the gospel.

  • We are Sacramental – God gives grace through Baptism and Holy Communion.
  • We are Evangelical – we are people called to share the good news of God in Christ with others. We are missional – we participate in God’s mission to share God’s love and grace.
  • We are Liturgical – we follow a traditional form for worship, but use many different styles from traditional sung liturgy, to a jazz-feel service, to a folk style service, and more. Our worship tells the story of God’s work of grace in our lives.
  • We are Ecumenical – we connect with other Christians to do ministry and to serve our neighbors.
